About the Award

The European Research Center for Information Systems (ERCIS) recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the European Information Systems community.

ERCIS Fellows have inspired generations of scholars across Europe both through their work and through serving as a role model for courageous, responsible, and impactful work of significant value to society. ERCIS fellows are recognized for their fundamental contributions to the Information Systems field across Europe, having inspired early career academics, promoted innovative thinking and supported diversity and inclusion through their actions.

ERCIS initiates the ERCIS Fellowship Award for its 20th anniversary in 2024. An international award committee presents the award to selected scholars subject to nomination and evaluation.

The ERCIS fellowship award is not attached to any obligations and is not linked to any financial contribution. The award recognizes achievement and impact of European significance. ERCIS fellows serve as role models and inspiration for the European Information Systems Community.
